What is it about the word SMILE that makes your lips curl into a grin? Whether you see SMILE written, or someone says it, it’s hard not to beam. The simple act of smiling releases endorphins, which reduces your stress level and acts as a natural pain reliever. How awesome is that?
Often, a smile leads to laughter and that’s a good thing. Great, actually, when you consider that laughter stretches the lungs and exercises the body. I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer to laugh…a lot…rather than run two miles.
We all know what it feels like when someone flashes you a big grin when you’re having a bad day. So, what if they showed you the word on a note, or a meme? Would it still give you that happy, uplifting feeling? If yes, why? Makes me wonder if letters have the same vibrations as musical notes. We all know that music can make you sing at the top of your lungs or cry until your well is dry. And, even when music doesn’t have words, it can make you want to make love, shake your booty, or potentially do both at the same time.
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter whether your smile is precipitated by words, music or someone’s pearly whites, as long as your lips curl up until the corners of your eyes crinkle.
Go ahead…indulge yourself… SMILE 🙂
